We had a couple of fantastic holidays with the race horse training family and went to small country race meetings. We'd be away 3-4 weeks and camp out at the tracks. I even managed some early morning starts to clean out stalls, etc. At times, the races were only able to be run because we were there with our string of horses to bump the numbers up. The small meetings in the outback are lots of fun. I had no luck with the punting though - even with inside information on the horses form.
