I can so relate to you. I used to drink 5 glasses of milk a day before renal failure. Now I'm down to half a glass once a week, its so hard but my labs are better for it. My phophorus was very high and once I cut out milk .....and cheese, my phosphorus went down bigtime. They warned me having to take an extra phosphate binder with every meal. (I already take 2 with each meal) Motivation for me to cut back in the milk was just that. I'm happier for it......and I've lost a lot of weight--50 lbs since august.  :)

One food I still crave, which I've always loved, is CHEESE. I'm finding it so hard!!!!!! :(

Best of luck to you!! :cuddle;

I too have some very strange cravings, things i never used to like, i want. And smells too, I am always liking strange smells.
One of the things I want to eat( but know that I absolutely cannot eat!!) is alot stranger than milk, its not even supposed to be eaten! They say that pica is common in dialysis patients though...

On the other side of craving, and I am not yet on D, all of a sudden I cannot even think of eating an egg. Always liked them altho not to extremes, now cant even think about it withour becoming nauseous? Sorry, I did not mean to take over your thread.
