Dont know what is going on today but my left leg just doesnt want to know ! Went to bed fine , no injuries , no strains, got up this morning and i cant put any weight on it ! I know i have issues with my PTH, my meds for it and now possibly my calcium levels , so im wondering is this partly to do with all those? Its a terrible pain in it from just below my hip to just above my knee , my thigh bone i guess, Luckily im going to see my neph tomorrow, so you can just call me hop-a-long for now !

It could be calcium or PTH.

Before I got my PTH and calcium under control, my legs would sometimes give out under me, and I would end up collapsing on the floor.  Happened to me in the supermarket.  Happened to me in my own kitchen.

Or when I would try to get out of bed in the morning, I would just fall right over onto my bedroom floor.

Now that my PTH and calcium are back within range, these symptoms have disappeared.

Are you on long term prednisone by any chance? I was on high dose prednisone for a about a year and had the same kind of pain. It just continued to increase. I dint want to scare you, but after an MRI scan they found out that I had avascular necrosis on both the hips.

If you are not on prednisone it out be PTH/calcium.
