I visited Kim's son Kyle this evening at the Toronto General. He's looking and feeling terrific, hasn't and won't meet his recipient, and was hoping to be released today. Doubt that will happen but most likely tomorrow for sure. Kyle is a super nice young man in addition to being a bona fide hero.
News from Kim's facebook:I'm doing great, feeling amazing, peeing buckets and I've now got one of the most healthiest kidneys ever! I'm at the VG, 6B room 30- bed 2. Kyle is doing great, talked to him this morning, he is my hero ♥ Isn't that great!!?!I ♥ Living Donors!
My mom is thinking of doing the testing for the paired donor program after Christmas as a way to keep all doors open for me.Are you from the Maritimes, Kim? Or is it just that your donor is here? I had both my transplants in Halifax, one at the IWK, and the other at the VG
