I know we are all rundown and tired so lets pat ourselves on the back for what we manage to do.
Today I chopped and froze a bushel of red and green peppers and 10 lbs of onions. :clap;
I'm ignoring the zuccinni that is still going strong. :rofl;

Wow, Pam!  Well done!!   And I agree, we need to recognize the things we do, not what we can't do.  Someone told me a few years ago, to make a list during the day of everything I did.  She said to start with "getting out of bed" so there would be at least one thing on the list.  lol

That is a lot of peppers!!    :2thumbsup;

I had one week to finish Jonathan Franzen's new book "Freedom"  (borrowed it from the library, and since it's new, it had a one week limit), and I finished it today.

Nice thread idea!  :2thumbsup;

Today I managed to wash and detangle my hair (not easy with my catheter) in the 30 minutes before I had to leave for dialysis. Also stopped to fill up on gas and spontaneously decided to clean all my windows. After dialysis, I planned to buy coffee beans (at a place with cute baristas!) and walk around the farmers' market, but I wasn't feeling well so I didn't. I did manage to activate my Sensipar co-pay card and drop off and pick up my new prescriptions.

Tomorrow I need to water my plants, and maybe I'll get around to trimming them down to keep them inside over the winter. The habanero plant is looking really good.

Actually, yes!!! Washed my bathroom floor, which is huge, probably 2 ft wide and 4 ft long, LOL. Made dinner, Helped a friend straighten out a bill, made the bed and fixed a very good dinner. Wow, I better go to bed now!!

PD for a year, in-centre haemo for 4 years
Transplant 1 lasted 21 years (Lucy: 1991 - 2012), failed due to Transplant glomerulopathy
5 weeks Haemo 2012
Transplant 2 (Maggie) installed Feb 13, 2013, returned to work June 17, 2013 average crea was 130, now is 140.
Infections in June / July, hospital 1-4 Aug for infections.

Over the years:  skin cancer; thyroidectomy, pneumonia; CMV; BK; 14 surgeries
Generally glossy and happy.

Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017

As I was coming out the Nephrologist office, I thought the sky was falling.
Knew I was going on dialysis since November 1999.
Had a fistula put in January 2000.
Been on 4-1/2 hour dialysis since August 28, 2001. (They took out 35Kg that single week)

Maria hasbeen on hemodualysis since January, 2005

It was l lot of peppers for sure, but we use them in just about everything. Peppers, onions, garlic and mushrooms are staples at our house. I always wanted to try one of those grow your own mushroom kits.

I enjoyed quality time with Blokey whilst scoffing down a very yummylicious breakfast in Tesco.  Then, after doing the supermarket shop, we came home and I picked out the new flooring, tiles and accessories for my divine (and very expensive) new bathroom (coming soon!) before sweeping the kicthen floor and hanging the washing on the line (whilst we still have sun).

Now I'm just chillin'.

Couldn't agree more.  Every night as I drift off to sleep I recount whatever I did that day.  Some days it's nothing more than I got out of bed and watched TV all day.  Other days I did so many minutes on my bike, washed dishes, did laundry, whatever.  I think too many people are concerned with what they can no longer do.  Had a man call the other day.  He had been on dialysis for 9 years and now has a transplant for 3 months.  He's miserable because he can't go back to the gym and "buff up."  He seriously thought that when he got  his new kidney at age 32 it would transform him back to being 20!!!!!

I have more of a list of stuff I need to do then stuff I can't do.. like, I need to get out more, I need to get back into walking, I need to start writing again.. all the stuff that, for whatever reason, I just stopped doing.

I haven't really done anything today except troll the internets, but Mom and I are going to a party later.

A month.  I had a lot of time to knit:  in terminals, on trains, in cafes and restaurants, and in conferences :-)  Knitting is the ideal traveling companion.

MORE arm surgery Kit??? Whats up now???

I went to Wal mart and got groceries. On a Saturday no less, when I am retired ( and also slightly brain damaged ) !!! Made a keylime pie, easy and delicious, a nice dinner annnnnnd  A NAP!!!!!

Went tp the flea market, feed store for 400 lbs. of chicken feed and Walmart for grocery shopping and prescriptions. Haven't done that much in day in quite a while.

i sat in my front porch admiring the parade of horses passing the house. There must have been over 50 of them. They were beautiful to look at. :clap; :clap; Coming behind was about 10-15 trucks towing horse trailers.

I went for a walk.  It's only 800 metres, and we know this cuz we measured it, but it's better than nothing.  Starting on Tuesday, I'm going to start walking to the mailbox.  It's at the entrance to our subdivision, which is at the top of a hill, and we live at the bottom, so I have to walk up the hill to get to the mailbox.  It takes me about 45 minutes, round trip.

I scrubbed the tubs/showers today.  It is a pain because the water is so hard.  I have to soak the tub with water and 2 gallons of vinegar.  It takes the hard water stains right off.

Out of bed at 5am.  To work at 7am.  Doctors visit to get iron at 9am.  Back to work as always totally drained by noon.  But gotta keep at the work thing.  Actually got half a trade show done today and 8 bxs to be shipped out to customers.
Kidneys are killing me (PKD probably getting ready to start popping)and for the last few days everytime i eat i get sick.  Ques this is my new diet program. :puke;

if it isn't raining when i get home i may attempt to close the pool for the winter.

In bed at 8PM hook up to the cycler wish to myself i could sleep without tossing and turning and waking myself up all night.  Then do it all over again day in and day out.

I'm just glad i can still do it for now...
