It's been raining pretty steadily for the last 2 days, so I haven't been able to take Hugo (my sparkly blue walker) out to show off to the neighbors. *L*

We did go see a couple of acts at the PEI Busker Festival on Saturday.  I watched a really cute German guy fall off a 10 foot unicycle, while cracking whips that were on fire.
i like the sound of firewhips!!!! wondder where you can learn to do that?""  :rofl;

no idea.. Germany, I guess.. he said he named the whips "Sigfried and Roy' because they were flaming. *L*

here's the link if you want to see the video.. it's public, so you should be able to see if whether you have facebook or not..  https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10153185201520387&set=vb.588375386&type=3&theater

Didn't do much of anything today!  I've been sick for a few days and slept for 13 hrs today. John (hubby) is working till midnight (everything after 4:15 is double time).  But I did go for a drive for abt an hour just to get out of the house.  Now I'm watching a movie through Amazon Instant Videos on my TV.

I've been back at work this week.  It was a bit of a shock to the system having to leave the house at 6.30am, do nothing but twiddle my thumbs all day and return home at 6.30pm.  A couple of gym visits and cinema trips thrown in too and I'm exhausted now ... soon be time for an afternoon nap I think.

 ;D

We did buy some fish (for the aquarium) this morning to replace some that we've lost. My interesting life ... !

So, what kinds of fish did you buy? We want details! <grin>

Also, how did you manage to lose them? ... my aquariums have always been much too small for that to happen.

I am quite talented at losing things, but I've never managed to lose a goldfish in a goldfish bowl!

cheers,

I've lost my goldfish when they jumped out of the bowl - or were flipped out by helpful cat paws.  Then I had to lose the remains right down the toilet!

I actually "found" the goldfish we thought we had lost. They live outside in one of the small ponds Carl made. We thought herons had gotten them. Once they get to be 5 or 6 inches long, they show up for predators. But today I saw all five of them. There are lots more in the other pond, because one of the five we put in that pond was a male.
 :2thumbsup;

But today, I did laundry, went to town to check on my father. His phone was "out of service" since Wednesday when I called him to see what he wanted at the grocery store. Still no connection today, so I had to check. When I told him that his phone wasn't working, he said that he knew it. I looked at it and he had inadvertently turned it off!!! Okay, I got that straightened out. Went to the PO to post a package to a certain someone in Ireland.

Then I did a couple loads of laundry. Got in the pool for 35 minutes of exercise, and after that, we went into Knoxville so Carl could take some night pictures along the river and downtown.

Now it is time to hit the sack. I'm tired!

I assume they died (they were Neon tetras) but goodness knows where their bodies go (do other fish eat them?).  We only had one left and he seemed a bit lonely (although in the same tank we do have a red Siamese Fighter fish, about five Black Kuhli loaches and three X-ray tetras, but he didn't want to hang out with them) so we introduced six new friends.  He's having a whale of a time with them now!

We stayed in bed till midday before reluctantly getting up and have done nothing but cook steaks and then eat them whilst watching an episode of Supernatural.  Now the dishwasher is whirling and we're just vegging out on the computers.  Lazy Sunday ... I have thought about mowing the lawn and planting some bulbs but decided I just couldn't be arsed.

I slept in, read the paper, fixed my printer by way of shutting it off and turning it right back on again.  Now I need to do the other 30 things on my "Need to be done before next weekend" list.  Yeah, right.  If I manage anything, it's going to be to cut apart some more pallet wood into 3-1/2" by 4 to 6" chunks, faux-age it with coffee stain, and mod podging on all the vintage posters, ads, valentines and Christmas cards I printed to fit the wood scraps.  (Google image search is a grand thing, isn't it?)  Ah well, more stuff to sell is good too.

Just getting out of bed today was an achievement.
Am so so tired after the weekend (need my dialysis badly)
Ate a boiled egg with toast soldiers and half a glass of apple juice.
Remembered to take my medication.

Did a couple of basic chores and sat down on sofa where I am now
A million things to do but no energy to do them  :thumbdown;

Dogs have gone back to sleep in sympathy!

I've been playing Animal Crossing New Leaf on my Nintendo 3DS probably a little too much.  I was on it last night till almost 3am, and I played it all afternoon today.  I didn't even take a nap after dialysis today because I needed to make some bells to pay off my house loan. *L*

Yes, I actually did do something today. 3 loads of laundry, cleaned the front porch, vacuumed the living room and dining room, made dinner and then made cookies. Wow, tomorrow, nothing, absolutely nothing!!!

Made my bed, did a load of laundry, did the dishes and set up my machine for a treatment!

Today we had the funeral for my Mum who died recently.
A tough day but it went well. A good send off for a lovely woman.
I was so proud of my two sons, carrying the coffin to the church and reading the eulogy.
