With the Giants' win, I win the week in my football pool.  I think it also means I've clinched the year. So yeah, I was rooting bigtime for NYG.

My Texans won their first playoff spot in franchise history!  All in all, it has been a great day. :yahoo;

Well, this is weird.  Wade Phillips, the Texans' defensive coordinator, is going to be out for a couple of weeks because he is having some sort of operation on a kidney for a condition that is not life-threatening nor cancerous.  I can't help but speculate what this "procedure" might be.  Apparently it is a planned procedure but they've decided to do it now rather than delay it.  What do you think is going on?

Who will the Texans lose next? ::)

I remember well the Luv Ya Blue days and Bum Phillips.  And here now his son is having an op on his kidney.  Life sure is strange.

Okay, MooseMom, I need to trash talk ya about "Da Bearz".  What happened to your team on Sunday??? My Seahawks trampled all over them in the 2nd half, after playing poorly in the first half! (Coincidentally, I didn't see the first half, I didn't know the game was on so early!) Marshawn Lynch is amazing at making Touchdowns. We now have a new tradition here of throwing Skittles at him after he makes one. Apparently, his mom used to give him Skittles after he made TD's as a kid, and it's stuck throughout his career.  They showed him enjoying a bag of Skittles on the Thursday Night Football game after he made an amazing TD in the first quarter.  He was in a mound of players, somehow managed to squeeze out of it and make a run for it. Pretty darn amazing to watch!

I can't wait for the Seahawks/Niners game! It is being played in Seattle. I don't know how much you know about the "12th Man" but I know he/they will be out in full force for that game! May the best team win!!!!

I hope TITANS have a 1999 repeat of Music City Miricle in Houston next week!  If they take care of business next week and Ravens beat Cincy. They have a chance for the playoffs!   :pray; :pray; :pray;

I'm a Patriots fan. Love to watch Tom Brady and his buddies every week. I'm from Detroit originally, so I enjoy the Lions winning this season--but only up to a point. Go Pats!

Nope, born and bred Seattle area. Just not a die-hard sports fan. Yes, I LOVE it when they win, and love getting into the hoopla of it all. But, my life is not going to come to an end if they lose, either.  I am a Mariners fan, too, but in the same way. Sports should be fun, and not something to get all emotionally worked up over (except when Dave Niehaus, the voice of the Mariners, died last year. That was tear-inducing!   :'( )

I couldn't agree more! I think that sometimes people forget that it is a GAME! It makes me angry to think what these guys get paid when we should be spending that money on good teachers, police, and fire fighters.

Well, we took care of business, but the Bronco's didnt.  Season over for us!!  I see where the "Fish" has been interviewed for Miami.  He was a good coach, and will do Miami proud should he take it.  We miss him here in Tenn, but welcome Munchak! 9-7 season is not a bad start!!!!
