LOL!  Oh, what a moral conundrum!  I'm going to be eagerly awaiting your posts both before and after those games. :rofl;  I never thought Jason Garrett and John Kitna would resurrect that team.

What was the deal with Wade Phillips?  Did the team just quit on him or something?

What I want to know is what's the deal in Tennessee?  I know Bud Adams loves him some VY, but Jeff Fisher doesn't seem to share that particular sentiment.  What's wrong with VY?  He seems to be a bit of a head case.  Anyone care to predict who may stay and who may go?  Very weird dynamic there.  I've loved Fisher since his days with the Oilers, but he can do better than Bud Adams, evil incarnate.

OK, another NFL weekend is here, and I suspect that the weather may play a part in some games.  The Pats are in town to play Chicago, and the weather forecast here in Chi-town is brutal.  High...20 degrees.  Winds predicted to be 40 mph, coming straight down Lake Michigan from the frozen tundra.  Both are cold weather teams so neither will have a clear advantage.  I will be giving both teams my considered opinions from the comfort of my warm chair.

Which games do y'all have a particular interest in this week?

And here's a dull question, but I'd still like to know...do any of you have a favorite NFL player?  Who do you like, and why?

I would say the Giants should have no problem with the ViQueens but I think they have beat the Giants the last 4 meetings.  The best I can say about another NFC East game is I hope the Eagles lose.

Since you did not say current player I will have to go with the real LT.

1. Me in my throwback jersey
2. My oldest when he played freshman football
3. My youngest on his Pop Warner team

I've been reading on the Trib that the turf in Soldiers field is all messed up. The Bears are used of playing on that surface so maybe they might have a slim advantage over the Pats. They are both cold weather teams so, yeah, no one has an advantage there.
My favorite player is Urlacher and a distant second is Brett Farve. OMG did I type that.

CL, yes, I do believe that you DID type that.

YL, those are brilliant pics!  Thanks for posting them!

Yeah, the turf is abominable.  As you know, the stadium is owned by the Park District, and they are loathe to spend the money to put down new turf.  Not only that, but all of the high schools have their championship games there, and that doesn't help the situation.

I reserve the right retract that statement :rofl; :rofl;
Actually my persons were players, my first person is Mike Singletary, coach of the 49ers, and second is John Elway, former QB of the Denver Broncos. I would follow Elway and the Broncs when I couldn't watch the Bears. He knew his limit after he won the 2 superbowls and retired. Wasn't he in the recent news talking to the Bronc;s owner about some position on the team management.

I know they're going to show Ravens v Texans on MNF...are they going to show the Giants' game on TV?  I'd bet there would be a bigger audience for Giants v Vikings.

They said that they are only showing the game in NY and Minn.  Every one else will get the Ravens/Texans.  That means I will have to watch it streaming on my computer.

Minn. Metrodome collapses in Midwest blizzard

MINNEAPOLIS – A storm that spanned parts of eight states continued to dump heavy snow in the upper Midwest on Sunday, collapsing the Metrodome in Minneapolis and forcing numerous road closures.

The storm was moving eastward a day after it dumped 20 inches of snow in some places. A Sunday NFL football game between the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings had already been pushed to Monday because the Giants couldn't get to Minneapolis to play when the inflatable Metrodome collapsed Sunday. It's uncertain when that game will now be played.

I see that you are raising a VERY intelligent young man!  Tomorrow at 4:20 Pacific time they will play in Detroit against Minn.  Interesting.  Meanwhile the Giants will have a short week to prepare for the Eagles.  That could be a problem.  I hope not.

Oh I was thinking of you, YLG, while watching the Eagles vs Boys.  At least you're not a cheesehead; they must be sick in GB.

Those weren't the Bears out there...those were their grandmas, you just couldn't tell because of the blowing snow.

Those of you who either hate Brett Farve have got to listen to this podcast. This was made last year but was played in October during the Farve controversies. Its called "Northside Phyliss". The podcast is a few minutes long.

I read some rumor that Brett Farve isn't playing this Sunday against the Bears. He's going to break his 297th streak of the starting QB. I've got to admit that that is a long streak starting in 92' with Green Bay.
