Nine years later we are in a place of remembrance and of contemplation.I remember where I was watching the news as the second plane plowed into the Trade Tower. I thought it was a preview of some sick movie. My thoughts and prayers go to the famlies of 9/11. May we never forget.

Actually, I just heard on the news tonight and did not realize it before, but there is a very tall building being erected on the site. I would hope that there will be pools or something for reflection. The current most popular name is Freedom Towers. Sounds good to me.
Sorry MM, but I think it depends on what media you've been watching. I've been following the developments for a while now, including the endless debates on which design to use and even the strange mess with the memorial cornerstone that was placed and removed. They had quite a bit on the locals news here on the 11th about how far they have gotten with construction, and I'm in MI. The mosque story caught the main headlines, of course, but the other info has been on, too.
