I hate the staples!! I realize they have to stay in but man they hurt! I have to be careful how I walk, or when I am laying down or else i start leaking lol!! I cannot wait to get them removed and be able to finally wear actual jeans again! I also get uncomfortable when my bladder is the least bit full because the pressure on the staples hurts.

Aw, Karen, I'm so sorry. I hated the staples, too, but they did not hurt as you are describing. I think this might be cause for a call to your surgeon/transplant centre. :grouphug;

Yes, maybe give the transplant center a call and let them know it hurts. Although with the long 3 day weekend here in the U.S., you may not get a timely response. When do you get them removed?

Hi Karen, mine aren't tender to the touch, just tug if I move wrong.  I have been amazed how little this has all hurt. Thank you Lord!!  Today was my first clinic visit and everything looks great.   Everyone knows which surgeon did my staples abecause he loves to put so many in. Every ml another staple!  I just might have to count them to see how many there are!    You mihgt want to talk to your post co-ordinator just to be reassured.   When do you get yours out?

I had 5 staples removed today and what A DIFFERENCE! They needed to come out because they were irritating me and starting to get red and angry looking, so my surgeon decided to remove a few early for me  :bow;. I hope to have the rest out in a couple weeks or so!
