ever since the server upgrade I'm having a hard time getting on. I have to try several times to finally get on. I always get page can not be displayed when I try to bring up the site. I've cleaned out my cashe and cookies but sometimes even that doesn't work. Eventually I will get on. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks for posting this. If you will tell me what system you use, PC or Mac, and what server your use, like Safari or Internet Exploere, I will give the details to our software company.

Anyone else? Trouble logging in, or posting or anything else?

Those of you having problems loading: you should also post your isp (eg Comcast, AT&T etc).  There is a cache in the domain name server (DNS) run by your ISP.  If the cache is not updated frequently, such as everyday, it is possible for it to contain faulty information about the active status of the site so that it may report the site is down eventhough it has been back up for a few days (Comcast DNS is notorious for doing this).

You can wait for your ISP to update their DNS server cache, or you can change the DNS setting in your own browser/internet setting to a different DNS than the default that came with your ISP.  There are free DNS around, such as opendns that you can try.  The following site has some simple instructions: http://letmeget.com/blog/how-setup-opendns-parental-control-internet

Newbie caretaker, so I may not know what I am talking about :)
Caretaker for my elderly father who has his first and current graft in March, 2010.
Previously in-center hemodialysis in national chain, now doing NxStage home dialysis training.
End of September 2010: after twelve days of training, we were asked to start dialyzing on our own at home, reluctantly, we agreed.
If you are on HD, did you know that Rapid fluid removal (UF = ultrafiltration) during dialysis is associated with cardiovascular morbidity?  http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=20596
We follow a modified version: UF limit = (weight in kg)  *  10 ml/kg/hr * (130 - age)/100

How do you know you are getting sufficient hemodialysis?  Know your HDP!  Scribner, B. H. and D. G. Oreopoulos (2002). "The Hemodialysis Product (HDP): A Better Index of Dialysis Adequacy than Kt/V." Dialysis & Transplantation 31(1).   http://www.therenalnetwork.org/qi/resources/HDP.pdf

Same here.  PC & Firefox.  In desperation I tried Internet Explorer today and got in.  I would prefer to use Firefox.

We are also having this problem with both computers. One is Linux and the other is PC/Internet Explorer. While those of us who have been part of IHD would tend to be persistent, I am concerned that first timers and visitors and potential members may not be or may think the site is not active.

How do you know who your ISP is?
The easiest way is to use something like http://speedtest.net/

Please note that there is another DNS cache that is local to your operating system (eg Windows).  The OS side cache is usually refreshed within minutes unlike the DNS cache on your ISP.  You can delete the local Windowsl DNS cache using this procedure here:  http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/233/clear_windows_dns_cache/

I got on first try today on internet explorer but have had problems logging in with FireFox also. I will notify them again to try and figure out what the problem is. I know it is frustrating.
