Hello everyone!
My name is Mandy, I take care of my 82yr old grandma. She began hemo-dialysis a few months ago and she HATES it, lol. It was so awesome when I found this site. The link I clicked just said IHD, and I cracked up when "I hate dialysis" popped up at the top of the page. I hate dialysis, too. I can only imagine how bad it is for my grandma and those of you actually experiencing it.
I've got to take my gran to her treatment in a few minutes, but I will be back. I'm still fairly new at this dialysis stuff, so I have a few questions and concerns about the whole process. I'm looking forward to picking your brains

Mandy! This site has been an incredibly valuable resource for me since my husband unexpectedly ended up on dialysis ... I hope it's as valuable for you too!

Hi Mandy &
I am new as well, but I am facing the possibility of having to go on D. This group here at IHD has been wonderful and full of info.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!
It's going to take me awhile to read through all the great posts on this board. I've already learned a few things.

Welcome MandyJane - what a nice name
It's so sweet of you to help out your grandma - I bet the silver lining of dialysis for her is the time she gets to spend with you! I think that would be very special to her. Also special that you're coming to a place like this to learn more. Hope we can help you, and your gran, out!
