I have the BW version of Its a Wonderful Life.

I actually cry at the end of It's a Wonderful Life even though I must watch it 3-4 times every year. Sometimes even in the summertime I will watch it.

I have to agree with Sluff on Wonderful Life, it's a real tear-jerker!

I like Gremlins too for one scene only and that's where they chew the wire on the stair-lift and it sends the old lady shooting through the roof.  That has me rolling on the floor every time I watch that scene.  Kind of sad I know!

It's a Wonderful Life...makes me cry every time!
A Christmas Story...makes me crack up every time Fa Rahrahrahrah rahrahrahrah!
Love Actually...a new fave. I cry at the end every time when they show the different people hugging in the airport while the Beach Boys song "God Only Knows" is playing. If you haven't checked this movie out, you should. It's very funny and sweet!

I watched it about twice, but I didn't know the name because I always come in after it has started.  it is tremendous.  My daughter and I just cried and cried.  I love when the guy asks the portuguese girl to marry him.  Her sister and father crack me up.
Thanks for telling me the name.

The Polar Express totally depressed me!!  I came out of that theater pissed off at all the "ungrateful kids" that get all these expensive toys (cuz they expect to get them) and i couldnt get my mind off the kids that didnt have Christmas at all.  I wanted to return all the Christmas gifts i had bought and donate the money to a family that had nothing, but i didnt,  i just made sure i bought alot of toys for tots and it made me feel a little better, not a whole lot though,  but that movie did open my eyes to alot!!

Is the Polar Express the cartoon with Tom Hanks as the conductor?  If so I haven't seen that yet.

And then I make him watch "A Christmas Story" every year, which he hates. ::)  On that note I saw a house on a HGTV special last night that had a custom made leg lamp for their front window.  I have to have one of those!

Oh and who can go a Christmas season without seeing "Scrooged"  Not me! Have you tried staples?

My absolute favorite Christmas movie is "Christmas Story".  My daughter and I watch it every year, and I think it gets funnier every time.

I read the other day that some guy who loves the movie bought the actual house used in filming that movie, and has restored it to the original condition it was in then - including the leg lamp!  (He also bought the house across the street to use as a giftshop.)  I love architecture (esp. Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob), but if I could make a pilgrimmage to the Christmas Story House, I think that would be the ultimate treat for me.
