My vote goes to It's a Wonderful Life ~ Just love Jimmy Stewart.  As for comedy, I rate Christmas Vacation as numero uno!

It is definitely Miracle on 34th Street.  Love Actually is pretty good as well but I also have to do a little Sleepless in Seattle.

My favorite holiday movies are...

Miracle on 34th street (Original Black and White)
Holiday Inn (Has many holidays in it, but it was the debut of the song White Christmas)
Scrooged (With Bill Murray)
Nightmare Before Christmas
The classic claymation versions of Frosty The Snowman, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, and Santa Clause Is Coming To Town
Any of the Muppets Christmas movies or specials

We always watch a Muppett Christmas carol, because it was the first Christmas movie our son ever saw. He was 6 months old and sat through the whole movie in the theater wide eyed and without crying. Kind of sentiently.

There doesn't seem to be good movies anymore. They are all cartoonish and about bad guys.

Has anyone else ever seen the little animated piece called The Snowman?  It became quite popular a few years ago.  Not sure it qualifies as a Christmas movie, but it is definitely one of my favorites this time of year.

Never saw it with the intro by David Bowie before, but yes, that's it.

I love Santa Claus is Coming to Town. It is not Christmas until I have seen that one!
