Until I received my living donor kidney
We were part of a 3-way pairing - we were interviewed on local news - when they post it - I'll post it.
My husband donated to Aunt Mary Ann.
Aunt Mary Ann's niece Angie donated to Ron.
Ron's 20 YEAR OLD daughter Sara donated to me. . .
I have some guilt about never being on dialysis and getting this gift so early in my journey - but honestly - I worked my ARS off for it to happen. I am by far my BIGGEST medical advocate. I always ask "WHY?" I annoyed my parents, I annoy my child, I annoy my employees - so the medical profession didn't have a chance!
I walked a mile today - DAY 4 post-transplant.
I have ZERO pain. They forgot to "release" my meds and I never needed any until the second day and the stupid bed! Hospital food was as bad as the jokes they make about it.
My husband has finally pooped and is a million times better
I wish for everyone on these boards to get everything they desire. . .
