I'm new to this board but not new to the world of kidney failure.

2001 diagnosis of onset of early stages of ESRD
2006 CAPD at home
2007 CCPD at home overnight
2009 peritonitis and 4 hospitalizations and 2 months of hemo
2010 back on CCPD at home
3 years on UNOS and waiting for transplant at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta

Diagnosis is Alport's Syndrome.

So happy to be here!

Rainingroses, welcome to IHD, I'm so glad you found us.  This is not your first Rodeo, so you will be able to help others and vent about your own experiences.  This is a great place to talk about CKD with people who understand.  Even though we love out family they just don't have to do what we have to do.  AND eat and not eat.

Hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome to IHD Rainingroses.  I live in Griffin, about an hour south of Atlanta, so we are almost neighbors.  I have had ESRD for about 5 years now, but am not on D yet.  Glad you joined us.  Just post all the time and let us know all about you.

LOVE, Mimi
