Congratulations Kitkatz!

Looks like a good pairing of major/minor. This way she can afford to take care of the parents in style in the future  8)

Are you traveling to the graduation?

Victor and I had a load of fun seeing Maria graduate. . I left on Thursday morning from Ontario airport and arrived around 3 in the afternoon. Shelly, Maria and Victor greeted me at the airport and we went to the hotel and I unpacked. Then we went to the Thai Restaurant and acted like the retarded Californians were there.  Lordy, it was funny.

Friday we did breakfast, and saw the Senior Design Show.  Maria's team project was a device used to find pins in people arms and legs.  It did actually work.  Everyone we talked to from her Boss to her Professors thought a lot of Maria and her attitude toward school and life in general.  Her boss at MSOE is going to miss her a lot!  I went to dialysis at 4pm. Maria and Dad and Shelly went to the Senior Reception in the CC and to dinner with some of Maria's friends. Dialysis was okay until the last hour.  I came back to the hotel and cried myself to sleep and took a Tylenol with Codeine. Luckily I can sleep it off.

Saturday we had breakfast with the girls, then we went over to the Milwaukee Art Museum Park area where Maria and her friends took pictures.  I will post the pics on Facebook when I get time and if Facebook cooperates. Then we went to the the Kern center and waited for graduation ceremony to begin.  What fun watching the people.  Over 4000 people attended they said.  Over 400 graduates, the largest class in 107 years of MSOE. I have blurry pics but some turned out pretty good.  I cried at the end of the ceremony.  We were off the lunch after the ceremony.  We ran to the hotel and I changed out of the decorative clothes I had on. The shoes had to go. We ate Italian food at Buca's.  It was a sad time afterward when Maria said Goodbye to her friends.  Everyone cried. She has made some lifelong friends at MSOE.  Then we went back to the hotel.

Sunday we went to the Milwaukee used bookstores and of course spent money!  Monday I flew back.

Graduations are bittersweet the ending of one part of your life, the beginning of a new part.

Maria has since moved to Oklahoma to begin her after graduation life. She has an interview there with an insurance company in a few days. We gifted her a car for graduation and I am updating her phone to an I-Phone or such thing.  She is staying with her best friend since forever in Oklahoma.

I am home and back on line as you all can see.
