I have been thinking a lot lately about Karol and her family. Not in an overwhelming way but I realized that not a lot of people here understand what all Karol is going through in her life. I'm not going to say it all here but I just want everyone here to send some thanks and an encouraging word to Karol either here in this thread or PM. She is dealing with probably more than most of us have had to deal with lately and yet she comes here regardless, to take care of IHD and its members. No one loves you all or this site more than Karol I can promise you this.

Love you Karol and Thank you for everything you do here on IHD. It will never go unappreciated. :grouphug;

Absolutely right on the money Sluff.  I think of her as a good friend even though we've never met in person (I feel this way about many other members too)  and I wish I could lighten the stress she's under currently by even a little bit.

Thanks Karol for all you do...for IHD and for awareness about kidney disease, for members individually and for showing, by example, how to lend support not only to your family and friends but indeed to complete strangers.   :cuddle;

Karol, hon, you are a gem!

When I was in the hospital, she called, sent cards, and even took time out of her trip to Paris to send me a post card and best of all, light a candle for me in Notre Dame.  How cool is that?

Okarol is a friend. And I have met her.  She takes really good care of us, even though she has a lot going on right now.  Hugs my friend.  :grouphug; :grouphug;

I too have met Karol. She always makes you feel as if you are old friends. We do appreciate everything she does for us, not only in the information field, but her compassion for others, no matter what is going on in her own life.

Well said Sluff! Totally agree with you. Karol often puts aside the stuff she has to deal with, which is considerable, to put into IHD, and support our members as much as she can- and most of it without a lot of thanks or appreciation shown. This is one way to show it! Thanks for taking the lead Sluff!

3 cheers for Karol!!! Hip Hip Hooray!  :bow; :bow; :bow; :bow;

I wish there was a more concrete way we could be of more practical help to Karol and her family.  If anyone can think of anything, let me know.  I know about Jenna having difficulty keeping her transplant, but I confess to not knowing if there are other complications in Okarol's life.  ESRD rarely happens in a vacuum, and it tends to just exacerbate other difficulties and make them that much harder to deal with.  But Okarol always has time for all of us, and that is a rare thing; I appreciate her so much and wish I could do more to help.  Thank you for starting this thread; it is always nice to show our gratitude.  Thank you, Okarol, for everything.  You know we have your back.  All our love to Jenna and the rest of your family, too.  Life is not easy for any of you, we know.  Please let us support you in any way you see fit.

Thanks Karol for everything you do for this site.
I particularly like all of the articles you find and post. I appreciate all of your work  here and the efforts you give to all of us, even when your own life must be so filled with issues.

Ok that made me cry. Thanks so much.

I know life is not always smooth, but with Jenna's rejection, my mom's lung cancer, the economy affecting my kids employment, and having another daughter all the way in NY at college, it's a rollercoaster lately. Then, of course, I worry about all of you, and Jenna's donor, and other family members... eeek, start listing stuff and it can make you crazy!  :urcrazy;

 :thx; Thanks for the kind words. Thank you Sluff, for being my rock.

I love you all.  :-*
