I saw a story about this young man and the video game he made about fighting cancer.  It's a very cool thing and I wanted to share.

"Throughout Ben Duskin's battle with Leukemia, he played computer games, which helped him get through the treatment process.  He also began to think about the need to have something positive that helped other kids battle their illnesses.  So when Make-A-Wish approached him to grant his wish, he decided to design a video game that would be helpful for kids like him who have cancer -- a way to fight back and relieve some of the pain and stress involved with treatment. "

That's cool! Sometimes I wish I woulda had a make-a-wish wish come true when I was a teen in the hospital but really ... there was nothing I really wanted as I got my kidney in 2 months! What else could I have ever wanted?

But a video game to help other kids imagine fighting off their disease? Now THAT is clever and helps others!!  :2thumbsup; :clap; :2thumbsup;

How about a video game for dialysis patients?
We could have:

Binder Man going after the Phosphorous Monster
Regular Dialysis could go after the Evil Poison
Dialyzer Kidney could go after Fluid Gain
Fluid Restriction could be conquered by Ice Cube Man
K2 could go after the Potassium Runner
Blanket Wonder could go after the Cold Thermostat Monster
Watch Your Diet Dietitian could go after the Wrong Food Categories

Love it!  Now we just need a game programmer to make it, or find a dialysis patient young enough to ask Make a Wish.  Because although I look like I'm 14, I'm sure they would verify my age :-)
