Hi, I am Deeepndra and my father who is 70 years old is in Dialysis since last 5 months. He gets trouble during and mainly post dialysis hypoension.

Oh wow!  Nepal!  How very cool!  I am sorry to hear about your dad.  My mom is 81; she's been on dialysis for 5 years, but for the past several months, she has had trouble with low blood pressure, too.  One of the nurses added dextrose to her dialysate, and that seemed to be very helpful, but I don't know that much about it.  I'm sure someone else here can help you; this seems to be a fairly common problem.  Tell your dad we said hello and that we hope we can be of help to the two of you.

Hi Deeepndra...welcome to IHD!   :welcomesign;  Sorry your dad is having to go through this and how blessed he is to have you care for him enough to try to learn more to help him.  I don't have much experience with it but surely someone on IHD can offer some words of wisdom.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

 :welcomesign;  to IHD.  Are you in Kathmandu?  I spent some time in Nepal in 1975 and had some great experiences trekking in the mountains and traveling around.  I'm glad I went when I did even though most of my friends thought I was crazy to go traveling for a year in India and Asia.  Of course now I would be more nervous because of transplant.
I hope that you will get any information you need to help your father.  If his blood pressure is very low after dialysis, make sure that they aren't taking off too much fluid during his sessions AND if he is taking any blood pressure medications, he should take them after his treatments and not before going in for dialysis.

Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

Hi Deeepndra i am not a dr so i cannot recomend this for your dad but what has allways works 4 me when my pressure drops is Gatorade the main cause of low bp is rapid changes in the bodys fluid ballance as the dialysis machine pulls fluid from the body at the same time certain essential electrolytes such as sodium and potassium are removed as well gatorade can replace these electrolytes rapidly but a few important words of advice gatorade is extremely high in potassium so if your dads potassium levels are already elevated or even borderline leave it alone... also only a few sips thats all it takes... pressure drops are often caused by removal of a large volume of fluid so the less fluid in the less 2 remove hopefully resulting in a more stable bp.

hi, we live in Sydney Australia, hubby goes back and forth for visits. His family is split across 3 continents, so it's hard to catch up.

Welcome to our community, Deependra!  I had a vague idea about Nepal before, but your post made me do some research.  It is a great thing that your love and concern for your father has brought you to our IHD family  :grouphug;  This is a great place for information and support.
We even have a section particularly for those who are caregivers and loved one.  You will find extra support in that section.
You have lots to read here, and you can also feel free to ask questions.  Just keep posting so we will know how your father is doing.
I would also like you to go to the Off-Topic section and tell us some more about your interesting country.
