I know a bunch of you went on a cruise in Jan, and I am looking for some tips if you have any.  When you arrived were you able to carry on your NxStage system or did you have to let them check it and deliver it to your room?  Did the room steward take away the garbage with the used cartridges with out any problems?   Any other tips you have would be great.  My husband and I love to cruise, this will be our first one after starting dialysis.

You should not have any problems as long as you preplan. Yes, NxStageUesrs did put on the 2010 Freedom Cruise in the Western Caribbean this past January. As far as i know, or at least have not heard, there were no issues with the cruise itself. Some people did have some issues with airlines.
Since so many went, i believe 12 NxStagers, they went as a group and everything was delivered to their rooms. You can view photos of the equipment here:

Im sure if you have any questions, someone will be more than happy to answer you. You should have a great time as long as you plan correctly.

I was one of those cruisers. Yes they took everything from the hotel shuttle all the way to my room. They took away all the garbage without any questions.

Like Brian said, look at the photos about the cruise and let us know if you have any questions. We would love to help you out.

Thanks Dan, I was just really worried about letting them handle my Hubby's machine and what they were going to say about the garbage.  I'm glad all seemed to have went smooth for you. I'm hoping for the same  :yahoo;
