Blind Date

Well my little dare was worth it! The game show itself was hilarious. I was on one side of a screen and these three guys were on the other. I had to ask them questions and choose a guy at the end of it - just like the old 90's Blind Date show. My friend dressed up as a drag queen host(ess) and we raised £960! which will go to help Haiti.
The guy I chose is called Josh. He is a lovely guy studying business. As part of the gameshow thingy we had to go on a date. I felt really embarassed when he took me to this cocktail/restuarant place and I had to explain that I couldn't really have anymore than the couple of drinks I had had already, and then came to the ordering of food which is always embarrasing. So I eventually explained as best I could and waited for him to run out the restuarant. But he seemed interested and not put off in anyway. After that conversation, where I also told him about dialysis it never came up again! It was such a relief to be out with someone and not have to think about D very much at all.
Josh turned out to be quite the gentleman, he paid for the meal and we set off to a club to dance for a while. On the way he bought me a rose from this dude selling valentine stuff. He then got me a taxi to go to my friends house and came with me to make sure I got back ok.
I have been really tired today as result of my shannanigans last night but for once its a tiredness I don't want to complain about! We swapped numbers and he sent me a text message saying happy valentines day today. He asked if he could call and arrange another date sometime!
So hopefully this is the start of something good, and if not, I had a really good night and I knw there are guys out there now that won't see me as just a sick girl!

Sounds like fun jenny. Yes, it's so good to be tired after actually doing something - but you might pay for it all wekk ha ha. Try to get some extra rest over the next few days. it took me ages to get used to having a nana nap during the day - but even if it's half an hour it seems to help. I'm so pleased you had fun.

Good on ya Jenny! Not all guys run from brave, courageous women. And let's face it...Dialysis, like aging, isn't for the faint of heart. Happy Valentine's Day and here's to your second date.

It sounds very promising
& I hope with you it is the start of something good
& I wish you good luck, Jenny.
I was just imagining the two of you walking through Edinburgh,
I love the crag & the castle upon it floodlit at night,
it looks so mysterious like a mirage.
Did you know that in front of the crag below the castle
where the train-station now is, there was once a huge lake.
Kind regards from Kristina.

Jenny, the show sounds like it was fun and the date sounds even better
What a lovely evening and it seems like he did everything right to make the night special. Glad it was a good time. And he already texted and wants to see you again! I'm happy for you

Such a sweet, sweet story! And perfect for Valentine's Day.
Jenny, there are great guys out there (and on here).
And any guy who would prejudge you is not worth your time anyway!
