If x-rays look good Weds. my cast may come off and I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!
I am so anxious, so uncomfortable.  I just want it OFF.
Wish I could get it off myself.   How good it will be to take a hot
shower without a trash bag wrapped around my arm.
HOPING, HOPING, HOPING, PRAYING...........Wednesday..............

I am hoping with you Ohio B. !  :2thumbsup;  My little 7 year old  granddaughter just got a cast put on her ankle Friday night, she fractured her growth plate playing soccer three weeks ago. :(   Can't be any fun to have a cast, I feel very lucky to have made it all my life, thus far, without one!  Good luck~ it is a little tricky at the 'unveiling'....

I broke both my arms at the same time when I was little, the itching was driving me crazy until I found the relief of a chopstick! No Jokes.

Anyway the relief when they came off, I Fainted!

It was such a relief, and the skin, and the hair where the cast was, scary! (Yucky Skin, Really Dark Hair!)

I had the casts on for six weeks , so gee, I could do alot, NOT, my mum even had to help me go to th toilet, thank god I was only 10 when it happened.

I Know Your Pain! LOL

well, thanks for the warning.
I've been told that it will be skinny and dry most likely.
Hope I don't faint tho.
I am convinced they leave these on til you think you can't get through
one more day with it on.
Casts on both arms, I can't imagine, can't even go there.

well, the doc x-rayed it and took off the cast and put
on a velcro splint that I can take off to shower.  It is not as heavy and
feels so much lighter. soooooo glad.  doesn't go all the way to elbow
and leaves fingers free.
It really aches tho with the cast off and he said it probably
would for a couple of months.  wasn't expecting that.  go back in
4 wks for another x-ray.
so I came home and took a long hot shower with no trash bag covering my arm.
wowwwwwwwwwww
supposed to do daily hand bending and stretching exercises.
said could go back to work in couple of wks. but not to lift more than 10 lbs.
so happy to be free of the cast.  thanks for all your well wishes.
