I have a little fluid on me and I know how to get it off.  The problem is, I've been dehydrated before and I believe I am almost there now.  If I pull too much off I will be dehydrated.  What is supposed to matter more?  Getting the fluid off or not getting dehydrated?

It is a very delicate balance.  If you are dehydrated at least you can drink something to pull yourself out of it.  Too much fluid can damage your heart etc...

I like to be a little wet when I get off dialysis.  We all know how it feels to be too dry.  Well most of us on her do.

My month and a half experience votes for being hydrated.  Pulling off too much fluid stinks  :(.

Now if you look like a squirrel......you've got too much fluid.  If you look like you have bell bottoms on.....and you don't....you've got too much fluid.

All kidding aside I hate when MM pulls off too much fluid.  He is quickly realizing when that might be happening and we immediately stop the UF (NxStage).  After all we will be there again tomorrow and we can re-evaluate then.  I love short daily home hemo!
