Getting the heck out of town.

« on: December 31, 2009, 05:32:27 PM »

I've rented the chat room tonight for a New Years Eve Party.  All are invited anytime -- its a "come and go" type party.  You must wear a costume and bring a bottle of your favorite booze (or ice cream).  If no one is there when you arrive come on in and wait a whle.  I've gone out to buy funny hats and noismakers.

Somebody should probably get some food and a Waterford Crystal ball to drop....

I'm bringing a bottle of bubbly cos I've just regained my taste for it - yeharrrrr!!  Might also bring some strawberries cos we went strawberry picking on holiday and accidentally picked 9 kg's of them ... eeek.

I got there really late;  hit some stupid key on my keyboard that kept throwing me out of the chat room (multiple times); then finally got in good and fell asleep.    ???

Happy New Year!!!

Sorry i HAD to leave the party early.  I was about to smart off to a lady with  a bat.  Sure didn't want to start the new year off with caca.... But I missed even the EST ball drop.  Guess the sleep was  more important anyway.

Happy Tamale day, or pea day (that's pea but for this group I'll also say pee) or noodle day or grape day or whatever makes you happy.  No Chris and Mark, I will not share my Godivas nor my  jelly beans.  Want cornbread and peas?

I had an uneventful New Years Eve, Paris.  Funny, I got my stent out on Tuesday and I've basically been sleeping ever since.  I have no idea what the problem is.  We changed my cholesterol medication only, but I can barely stay awake these days.  I would have gone to bed early on New Years Eve, but Charles' brother brought over his two grandsons to pop fireworks.  I actually made it up past midnight.  Yesterday I stayed in my sleep clothes all day long and spent 95% of the day sleeping on the couch.  This morning I feel some allergies kicking in.  Maybe that's the problem.   ???

I hope you had a much better time than me.  :D

Kelly -- LOL!  I was home alone, in the chat room sitting in my pajamas!  What a wild group we are!  I think the holidays have caught up with me because, like you, I just want to sleep, maybe eat, and nap. Sleep pants have been my attire for most of the past week.  My daughter,Melissa, asked if I was doing ok today because she thought I looked more tired than usual.  Hey --someone noticed!   :rofl;    Sorry I missed you in chat.  Someone will have to plan another party for us.   :beer1;

Sorry I missed the get-to-gether in chat. I watched my grandson Logan and we both fell asleep around 6:30 p.m. His Mom and Dad came to get Logan at 8:30 p.m. and then I fell asleep again until 3:00 a.m. Getting into a weird pattern of sleep lately. Hope you guys had a nice time!

We had 12 in chat at 12 midnite! That was cool. I loved being there, all the virtual booze guzzling was fun - and NO hangover!! I also got to rant about my son and hubby and the borrowing of the car issue. Thanks for the suggestions/support/criticism from those who gave it! I appreciate the different perspectives.

Sounds like quite a party and I missed it.  I was sitting in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine at midnight, CST.   So, I would have been glad to join in and I would have shared my wine (a good merlot) with everyone!
