To all members,

Lets stick to regular "black" for most of your posts and just use colors for special posts. For the mean time I have disabled the following 4 BBC codes for ALL members: "Glow", "Shadow", "Marquee", and "Font Type". I should have done it sooner, however it was never a problem in the past but now more and more members are getting "creative" with their posts.

Imagine this for a moment, what if every member used a different color, size and so forth and got real creative with their posts, we would have a circus of colors and the site would look less professional and more importantly less credible. Currently I do not have a restriction on "colors" but if it gets out of hand I will have no choice but to disable HTML/BBC codes in the threads.

You will no longer see the "buttons" to use those tags when you are going to post a reply or create a new thread. Thank you for your understanding.

I don't recall noticing anyone abusing "Glow", "Shadow", "Marquee" codes.  In fact, I think I have only seen the marquee code used once or twice here but I have seen the font type code used a lot.  The only problem I had with that is when people use the codes wrong and you see all the code tags without any effect.  ::)  That is why I decided to write the thread on how to use BB Code.

But anyway, I can understand your reasons for disabling them and I will stand behind your judgment in this case.

They were starting to, the reason you haven't noticed many or any posts using "glow", "shadow" or "marquee" is because I PM the member and have them fix it right away. You would be surprised how many hours a day I sit in front of this computer.  :o

Possibly.  Well, considering I spend on average around 8 hours a day on mine, maybe not.  :P
