I still hate dialysis!

My body has decided to cramp in some weird areas now. Across the back, on the needle arm muscles besides the feet. I do not cramp often, but when it does, whooo boy!

In addition my BP is playing hide and seek with the techs. They come by look at the BP numbers, look at me and ask do you feel okay?

My needle arm looks like crap. Tape crap I cannot even shower off. Plus three stents are in the graft. Feels funny sometimes.

An eight hour shift when I cannot sleep like last night really suck rocks. I woke up at 11:15 last night and watched the movie Pearl Harbor on Starz TV last night. I could not sleep.

The good:
Nocturnal is helping me to feel better.

Oh, Kitkatz.

Wish you had had a really, really good night's sleep last night.

But for the tape crap, Carl takes an alcohol wipe and that seems to do the trick. Takes some scrubbing, though.

Hope this has been a good Thanksgiving for you!

Kitkatz, I sure hope things get straightened out for you and you sleep well.  Starz late nights normally doesn't have too much on.

Kit, that sounds really rough. I'm so sorry. Insomnia is the worst.

For the tape residue, have you tried Goo Gone? I used to use it growing up to get tar from the beach off of my skin.

Glad you're feeling better on nocturnal. That's a great positive!

As always, Kit, even if you complain and things are not quite right, you still come up with a positive note. Hope things get better for you.

Kit, get some tonic water at the grocery store in the Pop (soda) section.  Here for a liter bottle it is 79 cents.  Take a couple of swigs before you go to dialysis.  It has quinine in it and that is a natural muscle relaxer.  It may help.  I hope so.  Cramps are horrible.

Are they using plastic tape?  The paper tape doesn't seem to leave the gunk behind.

I only had cramps a couple of times on dialysis, but they were horrible. I feel for you!

I liked the paper tape too. When they switched the tape, I hated it.

I hope the next session will be better for you! At least nocturnal is making you feel better. I'm so glad nocturnal is getting more and more popular. My ex-center has started nocturnal and it is something I will try when the time comes again.

Considering your bp and the weird places for cramps you might actually be below your dry weight.

For the tape adhesive, our unit has little adhesive remover wipes if we need them.

You might try them, there are a couple of different brands that are online for around 10-15 for 50 wipes.

Amazon has several brands on their site.
