New post from skyedogrocks (Facebook):

12 hours from now, Rob will be in surgery to get his life back. Thanks to our family & friends for all the well wishes and for all of your generous offers of help! Biggest thanks of all is to George, what an amazing friend he is. He'll always be part of our family. I will keep everyone updated on how the surgery for Rob and George went! Hope to be posting pictures in the next few days! LIVING DONORS ROCK!

Oh yeah!  Transplant days are the most exciting and also the most nerve-wracking ones.  Thinking all good strong thoughts for this transplant.  Thanks living donors.

update from SDR...about an hour ago...

Rob went down to surgery earlier than expected, around 8:15, woohoo! I'm in the Caf, people watching and trying to get my mind off of things (Can't take the family waiting room, it's too nerve-wracking). Rob was nervous this morning, but happy to be here. I got some great pics of him in his johnnie and support stockings! He wasn't too happy, hahaha. Will post updates as soon as I can.

I just happened to refresh my facebook, and saw....
"Rob's transplant was a success! He is already producing an output, which is great! He's having some breathing issues due to too much fluid and anesthesia, but should be fine in no time. Hopefully I get to see him in about an hour! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes! George is doing great also, just saw him and he looks great! LIVE DONORS ROCK!"

I have been checking updates all day, too.  Such great news!  And George, Rob's donor is a hero.  Glad to hear they are both doing ok.  Always a good day when someone gets a kidney    :2thumbsup;

GREAT NEWS! Rob is off the Bi-Pap breathing machine and just wearing a basic oxygen mask. He wasn't supposed to be off until the morning. He called me tonight to tell me the awesome news. My husband is such a fighter and an amazing man! LOVE YOU BABE!
