Elderberry extract (Sambucol) for flu symptoms

Has anyone used Sambucol to reduce the symptoms of flu? I recently read about it, seems that some clinical trials found good results. It's available over the counter and has no significant side effects. As we know, as with anything else, you should check with your physician before using it. I just hadn't heard of it before. Anyone else have any experience with it?
