Me with Baron von Fresenius

« on: August 27, 2009, 06:42:56 PM »

For the last two and a half years since I started dialysis, my bicycles have sat virtually unused, and I was so frustrated that I couldn't ride like I wanted to. Well, a week ago, I just said enough is enough, and I got on my bike and took a short ride. I felt really bad, but I kept doing it each day, and with each ride I was able to go a little further. I'm now starting to feel some of my strength coming back, and I've actually felt GOOD after the last couple of rides. I may never be able to ride like I used to, but I'm excited that I'm taking my love of cycling back, even on a limited basis.

Good for you.  I think exercise strengthens everything in the body.  I felt really badly when I couldn't ride my exercise bike for 2.5 months.  Back on now and beginning to feel better every day, just like you!
