and cycobully, i had to laugh how you included the 'early' before Metallica  :clap; as much as i respect them, their new stuff is rather embarrasing!

Yeah, it just ain't the same, is it? Good luck to them, and all, but what they have done from the 1990's onwards is not for me.

Oh, and YLGuy made me think of another question on this subject - how many of the bands people are listing have they seen live? Of my list I have seen every one of the bands (some of them multiple times) except for Possessed. I'll re-post the list and the number of times I have seen each band:

Iron Maiden x 1 (best damn concert I have ever been to)
Suicidal Tendencies (too many times to count off the top of my head)
LORD x 4 (and again tomorrow night!)
Sepultura x 1
Possessed x 0 - damn :(((
Testament x 1
Metallica x 2
Slayer x 3 (should have been x 4, but they cancelled the last one at the last minute)

Also - Megadeth should really be on this list. Have seen them x 2.

That's a lot of concerts! I've only ever been to one - Satriani at the Gem in Detroit, ages and ages ago.  My first and last.  I sneezed for the next two days.  Pot smoke and I don't agree, and of course, we had seats in the back of beyond at the top of the balcony.
