Pancakes with vanilla ice cream and maple syrup? No. I'll pass. Perhaps without the syrup....

A 2008 Vincent Girardin Puligny-Montrachet?? Or perhaps a 2008 Vincent Girardin Chassagne-Montrachet? Anyone? Stoday??

(Friendships hang in the balance, and I failed to get your attention with my lengthy post in the transplant section. ;D)

Too young: needs at least 5 years. Also depends on the vineyard.
My favourite producer in Puligney-Montrachet is Etienne Sauzet and vineyard is La Garenne.
I've never drunk any of Vincent Girardin's wines though.

As for pancakes, my preference is for lemon juice and sugar. Or cooked as Crępes Suzette
There is a marked difference between European and American pancakes. European are much thinner and bigger (in area). You use a non non-stick pan and swirl the pancake batter to make it thinner. The pancake has two different sides: the first cooked has pretty swirls, the second spots. The pancake should be folded so that the pretty swirls are on the outside.

I'm into Australian Pinot Grigio at the moment working my way round the different vineyards ... have a nice one called
Cosa Dloce Trebbiano Pinot Grigio ...
too early for wine though.

A smoked salmon sandwich (on brown) with black pepper and lemon juice would be good?

PS When I make my pancakes tonight I'll be sure to get the swirls on the outside thanks x
     Lemon and sugar this time.

Scrambled egg and onion toasted sandwich sounds weird but I'd try it once!!!

In real time, I've just ate some olive bread, butter and Murray Creek cheddar. That is from Australia!!!! And a glass of lucozade, not that I
need any more energy. Just found it lurking in the fridge!!!
