Beignets would be lovely, but I will settle for the American version. Fried, and covered with sugar or chocolate. Simply can not be renal friendly.

Hersheys has a new, sugar free, milk chocolate "piece" that is simply wonderful.
So, Milk Chocolate.

Well, Chris, you need to go to Nawleans for Mardi Gras and taste the Beignets, and Ziti is just a pasta shape, cooked, tossed with spaghetti sauce and cheese and baked in the oven.
Where was I ????
Apple Cinnamon Bread, how can you go wrong.

How about raisin bread, fresh from the oven.

Chris, beignet is just the french word for doughnut.

I like raisin bread but I try not to eat white flour so make it whole grain and I'll have two slices please.

How about a baked sweet potato with cinnamon butter.

Sweet potato sounds good

Chris, we have to go to New Orleans for the fab outdoor cafe .. their beignets are like donuts without holes.  I always thought the holes were a was of space anyway.  And the coffee will wake you up for sure.

Lasagna-----yummy!    (french dip sandwich- yummy)     We think shrimp is a mode of transportation.   A vehicle to get the cocktail sauce from the bowl to you mouth!   :rofl;

Cornish hens rubbed with pesto, fingerling potatoes, and asparagus baked in a puff pastry envelope.    I don't know if it was yummy---Beth made it for someone else and I didn't get any!
