The only problem is that I am at my computer at the Tourist Information Desk, and I don't it looks so good for me to be wiping away tears if someone comes for information.

Today's update...j went in for her ultrasound of the fabulous new kidney and the formerly-underworked bladder, and the technician said it was the healthiest one she'd seen for this soon post-op.  Her creat. levels are still falling, down to 4.2 this morning.  Still peeing in increasing amounts.

Still no actual food...she wants bananas.   :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

She's looking a lot better and can stay awake for longer periods of time now.   She even worked up the strength to call our grandmother today...and let me tell you, that's showing some inner strength. ;)

I've passed along all your cheery thoughts, and once she comes to my house she can be back to typing her still puffy, but shrinking, fingers off.

That's good news especially with the bladder part.

Tell jbean to not rush eating when she can eat solid food. Order whatever she wants, but don't try to eat it all and to quickly. If they want to take the tray away, say NO!   >:D  :rofl;

Great news sweety!  Keep up the good work.

NOTICE:  You will be very hungry especially if you are on prednisone.  You start watching it NOW because you don't want all that weight back on.  Food will taste SOOOO good so enjoy each bit and chew 30 times.  Enjoy it in your mouth.  Let your brain think you are full.  Drink lots of water to fill you up.

I ordered a pizza the first chance I got and ate the whole thing and 18 pounds later (that month) I realized there was a problem!

Best of luck to you and your new organs.          :flower;

That is a hard one toanswer kim since we are all different. The docs told me 3 days, but ended up a week and half due  to problems developing from breathing tube, the meds, ect.

Hopefully JB won't have to much trouble and will be out soon.

Are there any updates on jbeany? I just spent a week in Indian River the week of Aug 17th and meant to give her a call. Now here I am, home in the Lansing area and only an hour and a half from Ann Arbor - is she still there? I could take a road trip tomorrow!
