Just received an update.  She is in very good spirits this morning and doing better.  She has a bit of a fluid problem that they are now working on.  But she is still stable and fighting all the way.  The docs say another few days in ICU for her and then hopefully back to a normal room.

That's good to hear about jbeany  :2thumbsup;

Rerun this problem is known to happen with a kidney and pancreas transplant because the bowels are moved around, somewhat taken out to connect the pancreas and kidney and then put back in. They won't allow us to eat until the bowels start making sounds and you, well pass gas and have a bowel movement (hard to do when your cleaned out preop and then put on a liquid diet after a few days post op. However a nick is still possible, but go to wonder what they were paying attention to at the time to do that. I wish I asked for pictures of mine, but didn't think of it at the time.
