Twirl  - I'm just really sorry to hear this news.

I'm glad that Lady Bird had you for a mom.

she is not down yet and it will be a week tomorrow -- when we were told this horrible news --
right now she is running around the outside of the pool barking -
she must have just discovered her barking power -

Twirl...

It's great to know that Lady Bird is continuing to defy the odds and is doing well, and happily voicing her opinion... ;D

I don't know if I told you, but my last dog 'Suki' was a German Shepard/Border Collie cross... When she was about a year, she was diagnosed with a significant Heart Murmor, and significant Cardiac Insufficincy... The vet didn't even put her on medication "Prolonging the inevitable" he said... I got a second opinion from a vet with a particular interest in Cardiology... He said "Just take her home and enjoy her"...

She DID die... Five weeks shy of her TWENTIETH Birthday!... And in fact, both vets died before she did! :rofl;...

Keep fighting the good fight, Ladybird...

Take care Twirl, and I hope things work out better for the little lady than we anticipate...

God bless...

W&W....

It WOULD be lovely, wouldn't it???... Well whatever the outcome, I know that Ladybird's one very lucky, well loved pooch!... Twirl makes a great parent to a pawed person!...

I LOVE your dogs, by the way... Our hooligan is a Yorkie/King Charles Cross.... He is SO feisty... Think he has Napolean Syndrome... You know... Small people (human or otherwise) BIG attitude!...

Maybe she can be like my Molly - given 3 months max and lived another 26 months, she didn't know she was supposed to be ill so she wasn't ill, just kept on loving life until the day before she died.  I hope Lady Bird will also prove the vets wrong and even beat Suki's record.  Twirl you are so kind and caring I hope for a miracle for your furbaby  :grouphug;

every moment is a miracle
I have not been diciplining her and she nibbles us when she plays -
she will nibble our toes and legs and whatever body part she is near -
I have started telling her "NO" and she is better -
it is a week today - and she is getting so long -- she is a clown

Sorry to hear this about your adorable puppy.   Watching her play must be bitter-sweet for you right now.  Happy that she's still here, but sad that her time is near.  I'm sending you some hugs.   :grouphug;  Hang in there, twirl!

Sounds like you don't have to rush into anything.  Take one day at a time.

we paid 400.00 for Lady Bird and the breeders sent me a check for $200 - they requested to pay two payments - one on each of the next two Fridays ( last Friday was the second Friday)
now, they changed their minds and they do not want to pay us anymore -- we have only had Lady Bird since June
she should live at least 12 years -- a healthy dog would
I don't know what to do -- we paid for a healthy dog -- we thought
they are letting us keep her until she dies - that way they do not have to pay to put her down -
and I am thinking they can avoid finding out if the problem with Lady Bird is genetic -- they sold 5 of her litter with the buyers wanting to breed
what do I do
they say it does not matter because the are not really breeders - I guess they mean there is nothing we can do
I am not after money that is not fair -- I want to get another puppy when Lady Bird goes -
 :(

Take them to small claims court. You will recoup the $200 plus court fees.

right now Lady Bird is trying to chew my feet -
she is a clown
she is still alive but seems to rest more -
she drives Yogi crazy with wanting to play -
she is very long and has sharp teeth
I want her to have every comfortable moment of life that God allows her-
and thanks for asking
I appreciate it  :flower;

Twirl you are a good doggy mommy.  My new baby is sleeping right now.  I hope I have her a long time, but I already worry about losing her.  I guess I should not worry and just enjoy the time I have.  She is so small I've almots lost her twice.  She has to wear her harness and leash now becaues she won't come to me yet and runs.

wonder if they would give me a shot in each side of my bottom to numb me ---

she is still with us and she is getting so long -
she is enjoying every moment of life she has -
wish every animal in the world could have such a life -
right now she is drinking out of the pool -
maybe pool water is the answer ?????
we love her so much --
as long as she has a quality of life --- she will not be put down
however, I do not want her to suffer needlessly
thanks so much for you concern -
it means a lot to me  :pray;
