Hello y'all-
I have been reading this message board for a while now, had a little trouble with registering initially, but am finally here.
A bit about me. I am not on dialysis yet, but will be in the near future. Diagnoses with PKD/ some sort of "renal dysplasia" back in 2001. I'm on the transplant list for 2 years now, so here's hoping......
Other than that, I'm a lady who loves to travel, explore new places, spoil my neices and nephews, shop eat, anything girly...........
All I can say is that I hope this ^&*%*^% disease does not slow me down too much - hey I'm 42 I still got places to go things to accomplish! I know, I know that may be a bit too much to hope for, but I'm still in pretty good shape healthwise. I am also just starting the lovely Medicare maze as well.
Anyway, have really appreciated all of the information and support you guys provide on this board. Hope to get to know y'all a bit better!

Hi, Belle,
And welcome to IHD!
There are quite a few wonderful folks from Texas here! Welcome to the club!
My husband has PKD. You are fortunate to be on the transplant list before needing dialysis. With luck you will get a kidney without having to start the big D.
This is a good place to find out information.

Welcome to the site. I was 36 when dialysis hit my life. I have tried not to allow this darned disease and treatment to slow me down. I have place to go and people to see.
