Hope she brought her charger for her phone.  :shy;

If she had it at Northwestern and still there when I have my doc's appointment, they have a plush toy stuffed kidney in the faulty store on the first floor there on the doctors ofices side of the building.

Oh Jess, I am so happy for you!  I know your Mom is thrilled. This is just about the best thing I have heard for awhile. I am sitting here with tears of joy.  It was almost a year ago when we were in Chicago and I am so glad to have spent time with you and your Mom.  And, now you have a transplant!  So very excited for you.   :grouphug;   :cuddle;

Wow, thanks for posting this RichardMel!
Yes, I indeed get a transplant...from University of Wisconsin in Madison, only 8 days after being put on their list!
I got a call about 1pm Monday saying they may have a kidney for me, we got here about 5, was in pre-op by 7:30, went in about 9, got back into my room about 2am!   I got 2 kidneys, since they were from a pediatric donor, so it will equal about 1 kidney in me.  4 hours after I got back, they were already having me stand up to check my BP, since I was producing over 1000mls of urine an hour!  I had produced over 300mls just in the surgery still!  I was in a good amount of pain yesterday, but not too bad today...am off the pain pump already!
But my creatinine is down to 2.8 from 10.6 when I was admitted, my urinary catheter is out, and if all continues to go well, I will be out of the hospital on Friday!   :bandance;
Also, I got Wi-Fi here!!!!
Also, you can send e-cards thru the hospital site if you want.

I have always loved Madison!! Have been there quite a few times over the years (have a good friend who lives in the area :) ) and always enjoyed flying in :) Now if I ever get back there (when MY call comes, it's on the list!!) I will always have a special warm thought for the miracle for Jess that occurred here. I am so happy for you!!
