He was a great talent but lost himself in his world. Twirl said it best --- I feel sad for the person he could have been and the little boy he started out being ---

Sorry, but I'm glad this kiddy-diddler is dead . No more little boys will be molested because of him, and maybe now his children can live a normal life.

No matter of you feel about him; he was someone's son, brother and most importantly father. I feel for the people he left behind.

Yeah I do feel for everyone he left behind. Someone had said that hopefully his kids will live a normal life now. I don't think that will ever happen. You can't have a father like that and live normal. Look at Elvis's daughter. It just is hard growing up in that kind of life style.

So true. Being famous is not always a good thing. The media often makes more of things than there are!!!

I agree. Why is the media deifying this pedophile and wierdo? He was a black man who desperately wanted to be a white woman. It's difficult to remember his good songs without thinking of the other part of his life.

Ben, the two of us need look no more We both found what we were looking for With a friend to call my own I'll never be alone And you, my friend, will see You've got a friend in me (you've got a friend in me)
Ben, you're always running here and there You feel you're not wanted anywhere If you ever look behind And don't like what you find There's one thing you should know You've got a place to go (you've got a place to go)
I used to say "I" and "me" Now it's "us", now it's "we" I used to say "I" and "me" Now it's "us", now it's "we" Ben, most people would turn you away I don't listen to a word they say They don't see you as I do I wish they would try to I'm sure they'd think again If they had a friend like Ben (a friend) Like Ben (like Ben) Like Ben
The most beautiful song he ever did. Remember he wasnt found guilty and who is to say whats weird ...leave the man alone and let him rest in peace .

I'm 49 so Michael Jackson was of my era. My friends and I had mad crushes on him when we were young teens. He was the first black person I had a crush on and helped me to see equality in all people. Later, when he became weird, he at least forced me to accept tolerance in others. This whole pedophile thing left me in a quandary, but again forced me to look at issues regarding pedophiles in sheep's clothing. By then I was raising my own children so the issue taught me to be vigilant. I still can't say for sure whether I think he was a pedophile or not, or just a weird man who didn't know how to grow up. That's almost beside the point. Because I still remember the good things he helped to bring my way. I feel very sorry for him and the fact he ended up this way considering all the potential within his reach.

There has been plentiful television coverage here. The entire evening news last night was devoted to coverage of MJ.
