Hello,My husband is on home dialysis,,or pd

 :clap;  Hello my name is Rachel,wife to Rodney.we are in Lodi Ohio..rodney is a home pd patient.. He is blind with chf,cardioneropathy,and his digestive system is parlty paralized..i am his nurse ,wife,warehouse operator,secratary,cook,taxi and so on.. not alot of help here in medina county,,the kidney foundation isnt very helpful we got a check for $6.44for 2 round trips to unit and home ,,70 miles a trip for us..lol this is helpful and send me raffle tickets they want us to buy for $15.00 lol..I own a "98 explorer sport edition so its a 2 door.. there is no support groups here or anything around its very hard..I am ill my self with copd and astma and very large syst on ovaries and kidney arthritis and so on.. we are on our own.. this is great== i even got to use a friends puter to get on line ..well love to help people ,have some medical training.. and street smarts so dont mind to help so send the questions..

I am a caregiver for my husband, too. We do hemo at home.

Diagnosed Nov 2007 with Multiple Myeloma.
By Jan 2008 was in end stage renal failure and on haemodialysis.
Changed to CAPD in April 2008.  Now on PD with a cycler.  Working very part time - teaching music.  Love it.  Husband is Paul (we're both 46), daughter Molly is 13.

 :welcomesign; Rachel. I too am the caregiver. My hubby was on home hemo 2003 until 9/07 when he received his transplant. This is the best place for information and support and you'll never be alone. You should have your hubby join, we'd love to talk to him. Have you checked the older threads, great information to be had there. Look forward to hearing more from you.  :cuddle;
