May the peace,blessing,and the mercy of ALLAH(GOD)be upon you,your family and your loved ones i greet you in the eternal greetings of all the prophets Adam to Muhammad with as-salaam-alaikum(peace be upon you).i am a 35 year old Afro- American Muslim,I've been on dialysis for 6years now and it's hard. but i am dealing with I'm trying to start support groups in my unit as well as my state.when i first got on dialysis i was a very rude patient i blamed everyone for me being on dialysis but me.but to make a long story short i meet this tech that changed my life forever,and made me believe again we have been married now for 4years come may. i know that if it wasn't for my wife i know that i would not be here and now I'm trying to start support groups now picture that.

Uninterrupted in-center (self-care) hemodialysis since 1982 -- 34 YEARS on March 3, 2016 !!

No transplant.  Not yet, anyway.  Only decided to be listed on 11/9/06. Inactive at the moment.  ;)
I make films.

Just the facts: 70.0 kgs. (about 154 lbs.)
Treatment: Tue-Thur-Sat   5.5 hours, 2x/wk, 6 hours, 1x/wk
Dialysate flow (Qd)=600;  Blood pump speed(Qb)=315
Fresenius Optiflux-180 filter--without reuse
Fresenius 2008T dialysis machine
My KDOQI Nutrition (+/ -):  2,450 Calories, 84 grams Protein/day.
