Hi. I would like to introduce myself. Am rdperez and am a kidney transplant patient. I donated a kidney to my younger brother who has since passed away. I lost my other kidney to cancer. Am also a two time cancer survivor. I am here to offer my support to anyone. I've been there, done that, so I know what your feeling.

Great story. You can get through anything. Are you listed for a kidney? If you donate a kidney and then need a kidney in the future, do you get moved to the top of the list? I hope so.
I am glad that you joined the group.

Great to have you here, rdperez! This is just the place to be for anyone facing the renal challenge. And donors are heroes and angels in this place.
I too have had my bout with cancer, resulting in a mastectomy - December will be 16 years. So we are SURVIVORS!
Maybe I didn't read properly, but have you had the transplant already?
Let us know how you are doing. You are part of the IHD family now.
