Downloading From YouTube And Other Video Websites

I have run across quite a few really good, yet really hard to find videos that are posted on YouTube and other video sites.  After a quick Google search I found that those of us that use Firefox can get an add-on from Firefox that allows you to download all those videos to your computer.  They all download as .flv files so your normal players such as Windows Media Player and Quicktime can't show them, but Firefox provides you with a link to a free player or for a few bucks a converter program.  I don't know the legalities of this, but if a browser that is as big as Firefox is offering it to it's users I can't see the harm.  Hell, even if you don't want to use Firefox as your default browser you can still use it just for this purpose only.

I just grab them out of the "Temporary Internet Files" folder and use VLC to play it. VLC will play pretty much ANY file format. Here is a link:

I hadn't even thought about looking in the temporary internet file folder, good idea.

Yeah it even works for pages that have "right click save as" disabled.  Everything ends up in that directory. I have a shortcut to it on my desktop. So when I need to save something.
