I called my step MIL and my daughter called me. I used to have so many "moms" to share the day with, but now it is just these two. For all the rest of you moms, please celebrate.  :waving;

I can no longer wish my Mom a Happy Mothers day,

My Mom is not here physically either, Sluff.
But, here spirit lives on and I am truely grateful
for all that she provided and taught me.

I read this thread and a little mental flashback of my
teenage years 'popped up':  Mom was making meatballs
and she asked me to sweep the floor before dinner.  I
was being a snot and gave a smartass reply.  Next thing
I know....bam....a meatball hit me in the head.
Of course I swept the floor.   :rofl;

So, to all Mom's everywhere and especially the
"mother of all mother's" IHD's Karol THANK YOU!

Don't order anything from FTD.COM! I ordered my mom a gift basket and it never came... I called and a lady told me that it hadn't even been picked up for delivery! I ended up having to go and buy my mom some flowers and a card, spending even more money!~ They said they will refund my money but we will see..

I called my mentor and we had a wonderful chat. She rarely calls me anymore worrying that I'll be busy with dialysis. It was a good Mother's Day.

I sent my Mama flowers through FTD.  I made Mom cry. She said no one had ever sent her flowers before.   She loved the tulips and chocolate that arrived on Friday.  We took her out to lunch yesterday afternoon to the Peruvian Place.  We ate well.

So Happy Mother's Day!

I am spending the day relaxing so far. I am expecting my sister to deliver some bookshelves so will spend the fternoon getting the book collection out of boxes and organized. Anyone want t come over and help?

Well damn, No bookcases like I expected. My sister decided not to bring them and did not call me and tell me this today. I called her at 5pm and said i screwed up the entire house waiting for you today. What happened?  Oh I decided not to do it.  I asked why she did not call me back and tell me this. I got an email apology tonight.  Worthless.

Oh well.

My mother gave me an ugly purse, a set of CDs I already have and I gave to her, and an address book.  Sigh.  I guess I should be happy with these things anyway.

My youngest daughter called and wished me Happy Mom's Day. Good to hear from her. I have not heard from the oldest one in a few months. Sigh.

Happy Mother's Day to me.

I got flowers from my mom and my step mom. *smile* But the best was the two books from my aunt.  Who knows me better? My AUNT! haha.  Nah I loved all three.  Aside from the mad  house of golden corral it was a pretty good day.

How was everyone else's?

My Mother always hated Mother's Day.  She was not in a good mood, no matter what we did.  I understand more now.  Be nice to me all year and don't wait for "the" day.    Too much pressure and expectations.
