Today's update:

Hello all......

Well... I don't really know exactly what to say.  Things are still unknown.  We are still waiting for the results of my kidney biopsy.  I WILL say I have urinated quite a bit today.  I don't feel as if I'm retaining near as much fluids.  My right leg (surgery leg)  is still VERY VERY swollen. I do have home health and physical therapy coming to my house all week.  The physical therapy nurse said that all the swelling in my surgery leg is normal.  I have not had labs done since yesterday.  My creatinine was 3.3 yesterday.... Maybe it's just wishful thinking.. I don't know, but I do believe 'HOPE' (my kidney ... named by Joyce and me) is trying to fight back (Joyce did tell me that her kidney 'aint no quitter')!

My emotional, physical and psychological well being has realllllly suffered.  I am really trying to keep positive.  I am just a really upset person right now.  I think my medical care left alot to be desired (not by Dr. DeMory... he is the only one who made me feel safe!!!)... but that's another story.  We are going to try to keep it positive right now.

I am so very sore!  I hurt so bad!  It wears me out just to walk to the bathroom with my walker.  Getting back in bed is a terror.... all I can say is... thank God for Juan and Dr. DeMory!

Thanks for the support and sorry for the rant :(

You want a constant monitor on your wrist of your creatinine.  You want one of those sugar monitors they have for diabetics only for creatinine.  But 3.3 is better then the last one.  It is coming down.  Keep drinking water and make it work a little harder.  HOPE!

Hang in there Donnia!  Hopefully the numbers will continue to drop and you'll start feeling better soon.  In the meantime, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.  I'm going to keep imagining that you are peeing up a storm.  :cuddle;

Short little update:

Preliminary biopsy results show either allergic reaction to antibiotics used in surgery or rejection.  Allergic reaction would be treated with  steroids, which Dr. DeMory started immediately anyway.  Rejection would be treated by me going back to Lubbock and my transplant team treating me.

Had dialysis today.... yep, you guessed it.... it sucked =}

 :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:  NO REJECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

It was an allergic reaction to antibiotic given during surgery!  My dr started treating with steroids immediately.... which is how you would treat this to begin with :)  Labs were done yesterday and hopefully we will receive the results when I go back to dialysis tmr.  Retest labs Tuesday.  With time, this should go completely away :)
