I practically live on Del Taco and Taco Bell and Crystal Light.  I' rather live a shorter, but happier, life eating foods I like, rather than a longer, healthier life being miserable about food.  In the long run, even the air is bad for us, and every other day someone tells us this or that food is now bad for us.  Phooey!

Hi, Peleroja,

You can bet your booties that if I am able to improve my creatinine clearance and give my hubby a kidney, I'll go back to eating/drinking what I want. But the stakes are awfully high and I will sacrifice the pleasures of food for a few months in order to extent his life.

And have you noticed how many posts on IHD revolve around food??? I may have to give up visiting for a while since I always get hungry when I visit!! :rofl;

Del Taco is the best.  Here they have a spacial going 1 med drink, soft taco, and a combo burrito for 2.99.  I am just lucky I don't live by there I would be eating there all the time.  I have to keep myself from stopping there everytime I go to my dads house though.

You know I don't mind our diet most days. I love to cook so I like making new things up.

I do like Crystal Light, but just burnt out on it. I use to drink the lemonade a lot since it came out in the 80's, then the rasberry ice tea and Fruit Punch. Subway use to sell it, but not anymore here, just Icee's and Coke Products.

Well if I can't buy a chocolate factory, maybe I should by a Del Taco franchise and be the first in Illinois if it is really good.

Moderation is the key, but I think you have the right attitude, peleroja!   :2thumbsup;

YES! Del Taco is the best!  You would make maga bucks putting one in a place that only has Taco Bells. Haha  Are you gonna need taste testers for that too?

As for Crystal Light I like the Peach and Apple ones. The Orange Sunrise is pretty good too.

This is going too far. I will make all kinds of sacrifices for my husband, but DO NOT ask me to give up my one cup of coffee (regular hazelnut) each day! NO WAY!

My center always gave us regular coffee. Granted it was only 4 oz and only allowed one unless to much was taken off or bp was low. I miss my regular coffee, but starting to find out other transplant centers do not give as strict of a warning to avoid it. Trouble is, since I've been off it so long, it gives me the jitters and racing heart beat. Never did that before. Gotta build up tolerance again.
