Wings pulled out a win last night!  Woohoo!!!  Game 2 is tonight.  I can't believe NBC (Nothing But Crosby) is forcing them back-to-back.  Oh well - makes for a great weekend for us fans.

GO RED WINGS!

As for the Lakers, can we have our coach back now?  ;D

Didn't know NBC did that, but not surprised since it happens in NASCAR also.

The Wings took both home games.  I gotta say WOOOHOOOOO!  I'm so proud of my Wing Boys!!!!  And we are having so much fun watching the games with friends and family.  What a great time!  I love being able to do dialysis at home, and sharing in these moments.   During the games, I can't help but remember being in clinic and trying to watch the games on those tiny televisions, and not being able to share it with the family.  I love the comments flying - the jokes - the jumping up at exciting moments - even the disappointments (even though those are rare with the Wings, chuckle, chuckle).  I just love being able to share them again with my clan.

We are on to Pittsburgh, where I know it's gonna be even tougher, but hope we can at least pull out one win there.  GO WINGS!

    I get joy from the joy in your posts.  I don't follow sports...but I have a feeling that watching a game with you would be entertainment enough!

I am totally lost on the game now. The sports coverage did not talk about hockey, just reminissed about how the Hawks "Missed it by that much"  I watched the news while in chat and the extra sport coverage after the news, but no hockey or Nascar in the news, wtf kind of sports news are they! Well I did listen/watched parts of the race though.

Go Wings, Go!

They have the Spirit of Detroit statue dressed in a Wings jersey - did you see that?

Oh yeah!!!  We try to go by it every year when it's dressed in the COOLEST JERSEY IN THE WORLD!!  They just dressed it a couple of days ago - really had to go through some red tape this year to get it done.  They just recently did a major restoration on the statue, and dressing it in jersey removes some of the finish.  Therefore, the Wings themselves will pay the couple of thousand dollars to have it touched up when the jersey is removed.  I'll have to dig up one of my pics of the Spirit of Detroit in the jersey and post it.

WHOA... Hold on there!!  How about just 5 and have the wings win at home?!  I would hate for this to go to a seven-game series.  I just can't handle that stress!!  You know, I blame you for the Wings' loss last night.  Cheering them on...HA!...I'm so disappointed.

Let's go RED WINGS... clap, clap, clap-clap-clap   :clap;

Tonight is game 4.  The wings are up 2 games to 1.  The Penguiins played pretty well on Tuesday, we had a hard time keeping the puck on our end.  I'm hoping one of our biggest star players, Datsyuk, will be back in the lineup tonight.  I'm also hoping that my favorite, Draper, will be back on the ice.  It should be exciting.

paulkaren - who you cheering for tonight?   In case you can't decide, let this help....

Let's go RED WINGS.... clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!     (Try it, it's fun!)   :)

Cherpep

I want the wings to take it home and be proud defenders of the cup.
But i also want them to do it in seven.

So lets go PENS clap clap  clapclapclap...

You love hockey like so many of us.  So a game seven would be a NAIL bitter and a great game :thumbup;
And it would be great to watch it with you.  I bet you jump out of your seat alot huh :-)

It is fun to watch a game at our house, and you all are welcome.  For Tuesday's game, we ended up having 15 people here watching it.  Not to shabby for a mid-week game.  I have no idea how many people will be here tonight, but I'm sure it will be plenty.  We do a lot of jumping, that's for sure.  The only thing that keeps me down is if I'm on dialysis - but I still raise my right arm, yell, and bang the wall.

I'd still rather it didn't go to seven games.  Really, that's just way tooooo much stress.  Let's keep it to 5, OK?!  I'm so nervous, and the game is about to start.  GO WINGS!!!!!!!   :cheer:

It is about time you showed up to defend our PENS, Joe Paul, These games get better with each one can't wait until tomorrow night. What is up with NBC or CBS or whatever not letting it be brodcasted, that is just crazy. The Igloo was packed with people outside last night, they say over 12,000 watching outside the arena on a big screen they set up outside, but they will not be able to do the next game. That really sucks!!!! All in all we have had some great talent and scoring power...  GO PENS! GO PENS! :yahoo; :yahoo; :yahoo; :yahoo; :yahoo; :beer1; :beer1; :beer1; :beer1; :beer1;
