They played another good game last night.  Beat NJ 4 - 0.  Cam Ward is a great goalie.  And,my boy, Ray Whitley, scored 2 goals!

And yup got my Wings as my backup so i can still cheer a team on. :thumbup;

But im into the Devils series now.  That is my brothers and his wifes team.  Since they are happy my flyers are out.  Lets go canes..

'Canes versus Devils      4 to 3   We did it in the last minute 20 seconds.    :clap;    I know, only round 1 but I do love my Hurricanes and enjoy each and every win.   :yahoo;

Sports announcers around here were going crazy tonight. I love it when the city really gets into the playoffs.   We need to catch our breath and get ready for the next round.  It is fun to see everyone wearing the Hurricanes shirts and flying flags everywhere.   you have to love hockey!!

what an end to Round 1...I'm upset my Rangers blew a 3-1 series lead, so now I am rooting for the Red Wings to win it all.

the end to the Devils game last night was fantastic...unless you're a Devils' fan of course

bring on the next round

I don't get the games on TV now that I don't have cable, so I'll just have to root for them in spirit.
Go Wings!!!

I am not sure I can watch the game tonight.    Good luck to our teams!   Gooooooo Canes!   :yahoo;

Ducks?  What kind of name is that for a hockey team??  Cute little duckie or a mighty hurricane?  Who do you think would win that battle?   :rofl;

Wow.  3 out of 4 of the series are tied at 1-1, with the 4th series playing their second game tonight.  That's good hockey!!!  I was at the Wings' game yesterday - triple overtime!!  I don't know how the players survive that, I was exhausted just sitting in the stands, even more exhausted when the Ducks ended up scoring.  I'm still tired today, that really took a lot out of me.  Those west coast games are gonna be tough to stay up for.   Maybe I'll start chewing some coffee beans now.

Canes had a great game last night.  Cam Ward is an incredible goalie.  Cherpep is right---it is a good series this year.

Paris - I see your Canes are up 2 to 1.  Best of luck to your guys tonight.  I do think it would be exciting to see your team take the series over Boston - they are an incredible foe.

My Wings made me a little nervous being down in the series 2-1, but they came to life last night and tied the series back up.  It was a fun game to watch - they were skating with passion!!  With all the bad news in the Detroit area right now, it's good to have the Wings to give us something to look forward to and forget our troubles for a little while.  Let's hope they keep playing like they did last night (won 6-3), and we make it a couple more rounds.  Next game is on Sunday - sounds like a great way to spend the evening on Mothers' Day.  I wouldn't have it any other way.

Paris!!!!!!  Both our teams are in game 7 positions.  I don't know about you, but I am nervous.  I have faith, but I am very nervous. I don't like game 7's.  My hubby is gonna be popping Tums all day.  I wore my jersey to work today, for extra luck.

Do you think your Cam Ward is gonna be able to pull it off tonight?  I hope so for your sake, I'm sending good vibes out for Canes and my Wings!!!

Everyone is a bundle of nerves!  I will say, the Canes play well when they are in game 7's.   They need to go in with the right attitude and PLAY.   Cam needs to take control of the net, my boy, Ray needs to get the puck in the net a couple of times.  I'm not sure I can watch --  Good luck to both our teams.  Even if tonight is the last night, they are two incredible teams and played some good hockey this season.   :yahoo;

Oh my gosh - I could hardly breathe!  It was so close.  They definitely brought up my blood pressure, so that's a good thing.  An even better thing is that they won!!!  YEAH WINGS!!!  Bring on Chicago.

Last I saw your team was winning by a goal.  Hope they can pull it out for ya!

Hurricanes did it in overtime!!   What a game.  AlohaBeth and I probably woke the neighborhood with that last goal  :yahoo;  We were yelling and screaming and all the windows were open.  We could hardly breath during the overtime.  It has been a really good series.   :2thumbsup;
