As you may know, two years ago, just 3 months after donating a kidney to our daughter Jenna, Patrice ran the Boston Marathon and finished in the top 12% -- which would be impressive WITHOUT having undergone recent surgery. She's running again - this Monday, April 20th - I am so excited for her and will be following her progress as she goes. The marathon has alerts that will notify us of a her time as she pass specific markers along the route. If you happen to see the Marathon and can pick anyone out in the sea of runners, her BIB number is 11332.

I can do a max of 2 miles on my treadmill at a jog, so 26 is just amazing to me!

Go, Patrice!   :bow;

Patrice finished the marathon in 3 hours 24 mins - she just sent me a note that says "We flew home immediately after the marathon...as a matter-of-fact I knew I had to finish within 4 hrs to catch my flight home...talk about pressure.  The great thing was Jeff booked 1st class on the way home so I had plenty of room to stretch out.  I feel pretty good, my quads are a little stiff but that's about it.  You would be proud of me....I didn't pass up a water stop without getting a swig."
