:bunny:  :basket: Happy Easter everyone who celebrates easter  this coming Sunday.

What are your plans? Christy and I are going to pick up a small ham just for the two of us. We weren't invited to easter dinner this year anywhere so it will just be the two of us.

Happy Easter!    It will not be a religious holiday in our house, so doing nothing unusual.  Might go buy an easter basket filled with goodies for us.

I celebrate every holiday including Easter and Passover...

I like Cadbury chocolate bars (not the tiny little eggs but the giant bars -- if you send any, please I like the dark chocolate best)....deviled eggs and a nice bloody mary (not virgin)

Heading over to the sister-in-law's for dinner.  I've been assigned fruit salad and cheesey potatoe casserole.  Holidays are the only time my hubby gets that casserole, and it's his favorite, so he volunteers me for that every time.  I'm just glad that I don't have to make the homemade rolls this time, don't have the energy for that.

How many people color easter eggs?  My 13-year old daughter and I still color them, but end up throwing many away.

I agree.  Years ago, there was an elderly couple who lived next door (no children) who were very friendly to my then 5-year old son.  After we colored the Easter eggs, he wanted to share a couple with our neighbor.   When he handed them the eggs, Mr. John (the neighbor) said hang on a second and then gave my son couple of his own colored eggs.  Why was I so surprised that they colored eggs?  I thought that was so cool.

My niece Jamie who just got her Pharmacy license and is making the BIG bucks is having us over for Easter brunch in her NEW house.  I'm glad to see someone in "my family" finally making some money from my illness!

She is so cute!  She doesn't want dyed eggs....because they might stain something...and if we could not bring chocolate eggs that would be "good".  HA  with all of us there we will break in that new house in no time!

I will color eggs with my 4 year old grand daughter on Saturday night and when she gets up Sunday we will have some of them hid for her to go out and find to place in her little basket.... Then we will all have a wonderful ham dinner with all the spreading and everyone pitches in and brings something. I love the kids faces just like opening presents at Christmas.... its always about the kids! :basket: :bunny:

I would kitkatz, but I think it would melt!

I always color eggs because it is fun! I'll do a few for my husband and me. We don't have plans. He will be at work and we have no family here anyway. Maybe next year we'll have a kiddo to celebrate with, God willing!

As I get older and older, I keep remember things from my childhood.  Is that normal?

Mon and Dad alway hid easter eggs for me in the yard.  One year I could find none of them.  Mom and Dad came out and tried to help, but even though they had hidden them, they couldn't find the eggs either.

Later around Jully, there was an awful smell coming from underneath the house.  My dog Nipper had buried all of the eggs and they hard rotted.

I love Easter week.   Tonight I got to dye eggs with 6 of my grandchildren.  Thursday and Friday we will be at church services in the evenings.  Easter morning is one of my favorite holidays.  I love all the traditions of the Easter service.  We go to a large downtown church that is over 200 years old with one of the states best organs.  I love the trumpets, the Easter lilies, the new dresses and the hymns.  I can hear my Mother and Grandmother voices as we sing.  Then we will gather for our big meal and egg hunt.  I love Easter baskets and all the candy.    So, anyone who wants somewhere to go on Sunday----come on over!   Oh yeah----did I say how much I love Easter!!   :basket:   :basket:    :bunny:    :bunny:   :bunny:   :basket:   :basket:

ALL I NEED TO KNOW IN LIFE
I LEARNED FROM THE EASTER BUNNY.

Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
Walk softly and carry a big carrot.
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
There's no such thing as too much candy.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention.
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
Some body parts should be floppy.
Keep your paws off other people's jelly beans.
The grass is always greener in someone else's basket.
An Easter bonnet can tame even the wildest hare.
To show your true colors you have to come out of your shell.
The best things in life are still sweet and gooey!=

Best wishes to our IHD Family.  :grouphug;

You are all so excited about Easter that it is making me excited.  All I want are deviled eggs and a bloody mary.  I know how to make bloody marys and I'm getting the courage up to try deviled eggs.

Also, directly across the street from me lives a young, rich pediatric doctor with three little kids.  Earlier I heard what sounded like construction work in his front yard.  Then  I heard the screaming and laughing of little kids.  I looked out the window and there are dozens of little kids with Easter Baskets running around hunting eggs, crawling through big tubes and hoops and climbing poles and stuff  -- oh yea, and screaming some more.

I think I'll go over and chase the kids away and steal some candy.
